Salcey Precision was originally founded in 1972 as a small turning company serving the local aerospace industry. Four decades have seen us grow in to the quality renowned company that we are today. We have expanded our skilled labour and capacity to become one of Northamptonshires most technically advanced providers of high quality subcontract machining. We operate in excess of 20 high precision CNC machines. We work to exacting standards to deliver comprehensive manufacturing solutions to customers in all major industries including Aerospace, Motorsport, Medical and Defence. Emphasis on Service. We offer a comprehensive service from design to delivery. Automated machines enable us to manage small or large volume work effectively and by managing all finishing processes such as heat treatment and special coatings etc we provide fast response, total control and peace of mind.

Specialities & Technologies

Quality Assured. Comprehensive process control ensures we produce the highest quality components, with inspection built in to each stage of production, from initial planning through to despatch. To achieve the quality levels demanded by the industries we operate in we continually invest in the latest inspection equipment to support the advanced manufacturing facility. Automation through the use of offline CMM programming, 3R fixturing etc ensures our staff are able to inspect parts to the highest standards in the minimal amount of time. Even the cleaning of parts is automated with our MecWash AVD parts washing machine. We provide full traceability of materials and outsourced subcontract processes, whilst detailed production records provide a full history of inspection undertaken during manufacture. Capacity & Expertise. At Salcey Precision we constantly invest in advanced machinery and skilled labour to meet the exacting demands of our customers. With every investment we increase our level of capacity and efficiency to deliver high quality results. Our CNC capacity is the best in the area. Using fully automated equipment from leading manufacturers such as Star, Agie Charmilles, Hardinge and Traub we offer utmost precision to tight tolerances on all features. Many of our machine tools incorporate Renishaw laser probing to maintain the tightest tolerances and accurate tool and fixture setting. We are fully accredited to ISO9001:2008 and we also hold a number of aerospace approvals. Typical machined parts range from 0.5 to 100mm in size. Typical Materials we work with include :
